1. What are your normal hours of operation for the Consular Section?
Normal hours of operation for the Consular Section are Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:30pm. Please contact us directly during these hours to report an emergency situation concerning an American Citizen in Thailand.
Routine American Citizen Services are provided by appointment only. Please visit our appointments link on the sidebar to create an appointment for services.
2. What are the security procedures at the Consular Section?
Consulate security procedures require that all visitors submit to a security inspection. No luggage, electronic or photographic equipment is permitted in our waiting room or on other Consulate premises. You may check small electronic items at the Consulate gate.
3. How can I contact the Consular Section?
For non-emergency inquiries, please send an email to us at acschn@state.gov. If you need to report an American Citizen in an emergency, please call +66(53)10-7777 during normal business hours. For after-hours or weekend emergencies involving the death, arrest, or serious injury to an American citizen in northern Thailand, please call our duty officer at 081-881-1878.
