Chiang Mai remains attractive: Wall Street Journal highlights a city walk to explore Chiang Mai’s old alleyways.

According to U.S. Consul General Michael K. Morrow, the Wall Street Journal, a widely-read newspaper in the United States based in New York, covered Chiang Mai in its City Walk column, promoting this former Lanna kingdom’s capital. The article highlighted Chiang Mai’s variety of attractions along the old alleyways—ranging from temples, to cultural sites, trendy cafés, shops and Lanna cuisine. The piece also includes a city Walk map, with detailed information on interesting sites.

The Consul General said that the report is good news for all Chiang Mai people, especially during this high season where everyone is expecting a boost in Chiang Mai’s economy. Chiang Mai’s charms are re-highlighted here for the eyes of American and international tourists, following the August, Washington Post, newspaper with the largest circulation in Washington, D.C. article highlighting Chiang Mai as one of the world’s attractive destinations.
