U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office (RELO) Attends Conference Hosted by the Thailand TESOL Northern Affiliate

The Thailand TESOL Northern Affiliate invited the U.S. Embassy’s Regional English Language Office (RELO) to assist with their academic conference on ‘Getting Your English Classroom Ready for the ASEAN Economic Community’.  Over one hundred enthusiastic English teachers from Thailand’s northern region attended this conference with the aim of preparing their students for ASEAN regional integration. Mr. Kenneth Foster, U.S. Consul General in Chiang-Mai, gave opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of English in the ASEAN community and how educators can enhance students’ communication skills for the year 2015 and beyond.
